You should always use a day care before applying foundation. This ensures that your skin receives optimum care and your complexion is not irregular or blotchy. Allow the cream to penetrate into the skin before applying the foundation. 

Always start in the centre of the face when applying foundation. Blend in carefully in the areas of the hairline, chin and lower jaw. Do not apply to the neck area.

Do not apply foundation to the eyebrows, or alternatively clean them afterwards with a cotton bud, as remains of foundation tend to collect in these areas.

You should use a lighter tone for evening makeup than for daytime. The colour of makeup appears slightly darker in the half light.
